As we head into Spring, the time of new beginnings and fresh starts. Some of you may be considering making changes in your own home, whether it is just a big spring clean or some major renovations.

If you are looking for a drastic change to your home, one of the best ways to achieve a brand new look is to change your current flooring. A brand new floor can help turn a tired looking room into a new, warm and inviting space.

Wood flooring is a versatile type of flooring where you are able to choose from a wide variety of styles and finishes to give the exact feel and look you are looking for.
In order to give you a little inspiration, we have compiled a few images of some of our favourite flooring ideas.

The first type of wood is Walnut, which has a much darker appearance than most other wood flooring. This is beneficial because a darker grained wood hides dirt better than its lighter coloured counterparts. Take a look at one of our favourite images of Walnut flooring in a home, as you can see, the large dark coloured planks make a room look large and sophisticated. This floor looks beautiful in this room.

The second type of wood is the more traditional Oak flooring, which is the most traditional and desirable. It can increase the value of your home as well as giving you many years of enjoyment thanks to its renowned strength. It is especially suitable for rooms such as the bathroom or kitchen because of the durability, which is shown in the image we have chosen. The oak looks fabulous and adds light to the room

Ash flooring is another wood known for its strength and therefore suits a room with high footfall. The colour can sometimes be really unusual and can also add a fantastic amount of extra light to a room. The palette also lends itself well to being matched with unusual colours, as demonstrated in our beautiful example of ash flooring

Finally, we wanted to include a picture of basic wood flooring that has been laid in an unusual artistic pattern. This is to show that with some creativity, it is possible to make your floors look even more high quality and beautiful.

We hope you have enjoyed this, and have been given a little inspiration to start a project of your own. Good luck.
